ASMR Doctor was invited to be part of the 2019 Young Creator’s Project. It is a mini-series filmed by Singapore Polytechnic students and is featured on Toggle.
This series aim to showcase the uprising youth subcultures in Singapore. The 2 hosts, Zac and Mich explored these subcultures that have made an impact locally and ASMR was one of them.
What’s this buzz about ASMR?
ASMR started to become really popular on Youtube since the last 2 years. But what exactly is ASMR and why is it so trendy these days? You’ll definitely want to watch the video to find out!
Through the interview segment, I was able to share my thoughts and opinion on ASMR with the 2 friendly hosts! Even though I was really shy about going on camera, I felt honoured to be featured on a local production media. It was a good opportunity for me to share about what I was really passionate about. And to spread awareness on how ASMR can be a coping mechanism for all who are suffering from stress, anxiety or even insomnia!
The most memorable part for me was when I taught the 2 hosts how to make a slime! They sat beside me, eagerly watching me make a slime from scratch and listening to the slime sounds. What made me happy was that they were awed at how easy it was to make a slime and how therapeutic the sounds were to them.
